Tom Shadyac, producer and director of such films as Ace Ventura, Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty, Patch Adams, Liar Liar, and many more funny films, has created a documentary titled "I Am". The movie explores what could be wrong with the world, and Tom's journey from fame and money to realizing the more important things in life. Philosophers, writers, and scientists such as Noam Chomsky and Desmond Tutu are interviewed. Proceeds from the movie go to charity.
My cousin, Jackie Zampella, has had the opportunity to work with him on the film. We had the pleasure of dining with the crew, and I was asked to make cookies for the audience at one of their opening screenings in NYC. Having seen the film twice, it is definitely worth checking out. Go to www.iamthedoc.com to learn more about the film and how you can do your part. It's a great movie to have in your DVD collection, so reserve yours today!
